Job Opportunity: Med Surg Orthopedics RN

Position Details

We are currently seeking a Med Surg Orthopedics RN for a 12-hour night shift position. This role involves a mix of orthopedic (60%) and general medical (40%) nursing responsibilities. The assignment is set to start on December 1st and will consist of a duration of 91 weeks.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.
• BLS certification required.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred.
• Active Virginia / Compact License required at the time of submission.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.

Shift Information

• 12-hour night shifts, with assignments ending on Saturday.
• Orientation sessions are held every other week on Mondays.
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holidays; block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Shifts may require working 2 out of 3 weekends per month based on unit needs.
• RTO is limited and should be included in the application packet.
• Assignments are subject to cancellation up to 36 hours in advance due to census fluctuations.
