Job Title: RN - Long Term Acute Care
Shift: 12H Day
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Long Term Acute Care Facility. Our facility is a 100-bed LTAC specializing in the care of geriatric, short-term, post-acute, and trach patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a long-term acute care setting.
- Float to various units within your competencies as required.
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as per staffing requirements.
- Maintain flexibility and availability for scheduling; no self-scheduling permitted.
- Complete initial orientation and training as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting.
- Strongly preferred experience in facilities with 400+ beds or Level 2 trauma experience.
- Prior travel experience is required, but we may consider strong first-time travelers.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Completed compliance documents should be submitted at least 7 days prior to the start date.
Working Conditions:
- Full-Time Position with 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:08 PM) including a 30-minute paid break if staying on the unit.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:20, with ancillary assistance available.
- Fingerprinting process must commence within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
Additional Information:
- Candidate must have not worked permanently or per diem at this facility in the last 12 months.
- COVID vaccine and flu shot are not required; if declined, a mask must be worn aside from mealtimes.
- All RNs must pass a Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia test with a passing score of 80% prior to assignment.
