Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Step-Down

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a solid background in cardiac step-down nursing to join our team. This full-time position offers a day shift schedule from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., working 36 hours per week. The RN will typically work every third weekend and cover one holiday, with the potential for changes based on census and staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiac step-down patients, including heart catheterization recovery and managing cardiac drips.
• Monitor and treat post-operative open heart patients and other cardiac/med-surg step-down cases.
• Float to other units as required during times of low patient volume or staffing shortages.
• Occasionally take call days in response to fluctuating census and staffing conditions.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and certifications, BLS and ACLS required.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in cardiac step-down nursing.
• Experience with open-heart procedures, ventilators, and Epic EMR.
• Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.

Additional Information

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract, which may vary in shift length.
