Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Night Shift

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a night shift position. This role requires travel experience and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in an acute care environment.

Shift Details

• Type: Night Shift
• Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Contract Duration: 20 Weeks

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience required.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Critical Care and charge nurse experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations while providing quality patient care.
• Conduct assessments to determine patient's clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Recognize safety issues for patients and staff and implement appropriate measures.
• Utilize lifts and other equipment safely when moving patients.
• Function well in stressful situations and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• Assume charge nurse duties as required.
• Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation.
• Defibrillation certification required within six months of employment.
• IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification mandatory during orientation.
• Experience with MEDITECH is preferred.
