Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Healthcare Professional for a variable shift position. This role requires a candidate who can efficiently multitask, work independently, and manage a range of healthcare procedures. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary licensure and certifications and be able to adapt to the dynamic environment of our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of medical procedures and protocols in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize medical equipment including Meditech EMR, Life Pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems.
• Participate in patient activations concerning strokes, STEMIs, and trauma cases.
• Adhere to core measures and National Patient Safety Goals.
• Implement AIDET principles and deliver excellent patient customer service following Press Ganey guidelines.

Requirements

• More than 2 years of experience in a relevant healthcare role.
• Proficient in IV skills and familiar with emergency protocols.
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, NIHSS.
• NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications are requested but not mandatory.

Shift Information

This position offers variable shifts, consisting of either 8 or 12 hours, with a total of 80 hours scheduled over a 2-week period. The manager will determine shift assignments upon arrival. One on-call shift is required per roster, with at least one weekend off included.

Floating Requirements

Staff may be required to float to other units or departments as directed by nursing administration, provided that employees have the clinical competencies for the assigned units.

Licensure & Certification Notes

Candidates must possess an active State of Hawaii license prior to starting the assignment. Those without a current Hawaiian license must apply upon acceptance of the offer.

Position Urgency

This is a normal urgency position, with an expected duration of approximately 105 contract weeks.
