Job Description: Critical Care RN - 12H Night Shift

Facility Overview

Join a small rural hospital with a total of 24 beds, specializing in Acute Care. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care to a diverse population ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients.

Position Details

• Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift
• Unit Name: Med/Surg 1404
• Patient to Nurse Ratio: 1:5
• Minimum Clinical Experience Required: 1 year
• Certifications Required: NY RN License, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Holiday Requirements: Yes
• Scheduling: Every other weekend

Patient Population

You will be caring for patients with various diagnoses, including:

• COPD exacerbation
• CHF
• Sepsis
• Altered Mental Status
• Diabetes
• Cellulitis

Equipment and Support

The unit is equipped with:

• b.braun infusomat pumps
• Tabletop BiPAP machines

Respiratory support is available 24/7, and nurses work closely with aides to perform essential tasks, such as starting IVs and administering medications.

Qualifications

• Active NY RN License
• BLS, ACLS certifications
• Epic experience within the past 2 years (required)
• Experience in starting IVs and performing shift assessments

Additional Information

This position requires the flexibility to float to medical-surgical units as needed. All applicants should have reliable transportation, as public transportation is not accessible in the area.
