Job Description: Pre Op RN

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pre Op Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel nursing opportunity. The successful candidate will work 10-hour day shifts over a 13-week contract period in a hospital setting. This role requires at least one prior successful travel assignment, along with specific clinical skills and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care by assessing patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
• Recognize safety issues related to self and patients; implement safe patient handling techniques.
• Function effectively in stressful situations, applying problem-solving skills as needed.
• Exhibit strong leadership abilities by prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities.
• May assume duties as a charge nurse when required.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Previous hospital RN experience is preferred.
• BLS and IV certifications are required.
• Must be a permanent resident at least 60 miles away from the facility.
• Previous employees must be gone for at least 2 years and eligible for rehire.

Work Schedule

This position involves 10-hour day shifts with various start times, guaranteeing 40 hours per week for the duration of the contract.
