Job Description
The Med/Surg Telemetry units provide comprehensive care for patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs. Nurses in these units should possess a strong foundation in med/surg nursing and be skilled in telemetry monitoring while adeptly managing a diverse patient population. This environment offers a unique opportunity for nurses who can balance the demands of complex care in a high-acuity setting.
Unit Structure and Ratios
- Med 2: 24 beds; caters to both med/surg and stroke care needs. This unit specializes in monitoring and supporting stroke patients.
- Med 3: 34 beds; designated as a general med/surg telemetry unit.
- Staffing Ratios: Typically 6:1.

- Renal conditions
- Confusion and altered mental status
Licensure Requirements
- Nursys License/Certificate Verification (for onboarding)
