Job Description: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Shift Information

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30) - VAR shift can start at 7 AM, 9 AM, or 10 AM.

Call Coverage:

• Weekdays: Monday-Friday from 4 PM to 11 PM
• Weekends and Holidays: 7 AM to 11 PM

Weekend Availability: Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform lymphoscintigraphy studies, including the injection of radiotracer.
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques and provide diagnostic information.
• Handle patient interaction, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and follow prescribed safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Must possess a valid BLS certification.
• ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine is required.
• Experience with the Epic Charting System is preferred.
• Ability to perform in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
Daily Census: Managed per hospital protocols

Schedule and Coverage

The technologist must commit to a block scheduling type with specific ratios:

• Patient Ratios: 1:2 during the day
• Call Coverage: Required during specified hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Details

• Floating between facilities within the state is expected.
• Must provide 2 supervisory references during the compliance process.
• No open license hits will be approved; must disclose any licensing issues upfront.
