Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36

Weekend Hours: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Call Requirements: None (flexible scheduling as needed)

Facility Overview

Located in Lake Havasu City, this community hospital is a Joint Commission accredited facility with 171 beds, serving as a regional referral center and a certified chest pain center. The hospital offers a serene environment surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges and a serene lake, perfect for outdoor recreational activities.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry readings, ensuring prompt response to abnormalities.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning, promoting self-management and health maintenance.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Float to other units (IMC, ED) as needed, per hospital expectations.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience

• At least 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Telemetry experience with the ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Current ACLS certification.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience as a preceptor or in charge nurse roles.
• Familiarity with patients undergoing total joint procedures, surgical care, and management of complex chronic conditions.

Education Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.

Scrub Color: Black (top and bottom), with no open shoes allowed.
