Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated Critical Care Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The nursing staff will support the ICU/PCU overflow unit with a focus on delivering high-quality care.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 10
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 ICU, 4-5:1 PCU
• Day Shift Staffing: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RNs
• Night Shift Staffing: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RNs

Equipment and Documentation

• Lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, IV pumps, etc.
• Documentation system: Cerner

Working Conditions

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend requirement, holiday support
• On Call Requirements: No
• Floating Policy: Yes, travelers will be required to float
• Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside shift report is mandatory

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Medical ICU experience in a large facility, comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• Skills: Critical thinking, flexibility, teamwork.
• Advanced Skills: Ventilator management, critical care pharmacology, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, central line management.
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

Additional Information

Assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubations. Uniform: Navy blue or white scrubs.
