Job Description
Wound Care Nurse
Shift:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday (Weekend requirements possible)
Job Description:
The Wound Care Nurse implements policies and procedures, along with standards of care and practice related to patient care needs involving various types of wounds. This role involves providing direct patient care and assistance to staff nurses, acting as a consultative service regarding wound care to clinical staff, and performing wound care functions under the oversight of a Wound Care Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and adhere to wound care policies and procedures.
- Provide comprehensive direct care to patients with wound needs.
- Assist nursing staff and offer consultative services related to wound care.
- Perform wound care functions in collaboration with the Wound Care Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid RN license (IN or multi-state).
- Must have current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 3 years recent wound care experience.
- All certifications and licenses must be attached to your resume for consideration.
