Urgent Care Nurse Position

Shift Details

This is a full-time role offering 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. There will be varied start times, with typical shifts lasting 12 hours. Candidates will alternate weekly between 32 hours and 36 hours of work.

Location

This position is located in Wilton, NY, conveniently close to Saratoga Hospital.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with emergency department experience preferred
• Current New York State nursing license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Travel experience is mandatory
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Patient Care Responsibilities

As an Urgent Care Nurse, you will be responsible for caring for a diverse patient population including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Typical daily census involves approximately 90 visits. You will be working in a unit that consists of 15 patient beds.

Key Skills & Experience

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to handle a patient ratio of 5 during day shifts
• Familiarity with Community Hospital Charting System

Additional Requirements and Certifications

Travel nurses will be required to complete the Relias EKG exam within 72 hours of signing and must achieve a passing score. This is essential for successfully completing the onsite EKG exam.

Onboarding Requirements

All Healthstream modules must be completed by the Wednesday prior to the start date. Failure to complete these modules will result in the candidate being turned away from orientation.

Guaranteed Hours and Contract Length

This position will guarantee hours over a contract duration of 91 weeks.
