Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technician for a 13-week contract assignment. This position requires the technician to provide support in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization laboratory, focusing on patient care and assisting cardiologists in performing various cardiac procedures.

Shift Details

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10hr Days, 6:45 AM - 5:00 PM
• Call Requirements: 2 days per week, 1-2 weekends per month

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing imaging studies in the Cardiac Cath Lab under the direction of a Cardiologist.
• Monitor EKG and arterial pressures throughout the procedures.
• Scrub in and assist the doctor with cardiac procedures, including Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), Right Heart Catheterization (RHC), Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO), Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), and Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR).
• Demonstrate competence with peripheral interventions and devices such as CSI, Shockwave, Penumbra, and Impella.
• Chart procedures accurately in Change Healthcare.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Current certifications: RCIS, ARRT, or CVT are mandatory.
• Experience as a Surgical Tech with Cath Lab experience is acceptable.
• Ability to scrub and monitor during procedures is essential.
• Experience with Change Healthcare is preferred.

Additional Information

• No 48-hour Guarantees available.
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Scrub color is teal, which will be provided by the hospital.
• Must be available to work on Labor Day and Thanksgiving.
• Maximum Return to Office (RTO): 1 week.
