Job Title: Acute Care Physical Therapist

This position requires a Day 5x8-Hour shift from Tuesday to Saturday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Acute Care Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience and will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in our short-term acute care facility, which operates 7 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with varying medical diagnoses and conditions.
• Work with moderate to maximum assistance patients and co-treat when necessary.
• Manage ventilated patients and be flexible in taking on additional evaluations throughout the day.
• Adhere to medication administration and patient safety standards established by the facility.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop optimal patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy License in the state of Arizona - Required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association - Required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
• Ability to float to surrounding clinics and work with various patient populations.
• Experience managing patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, orthopedic injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation is preferred.

Additional Information

Guaranteed 40 hours per week, with an allowance for call-offs throughout a 13-week assignment. New hires must have an AZ license in hand and undergo orientation during their first week. A weekend day is required as part of the regular schedule.
