Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a night shift position at Woodbridge Rehab & Nursing. As an LPN in this facility, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients, including those with dementia.
Key Responsibilities
- Floating to various units as required by the facility.
- Providing compassionate care to patients with dementia and other conditions.
- Performing routine nursing tasks including administering medications and monitoring patients' health.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements
- Active LPN license and BLS certification through the AHA.
- A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required, with prior experience in long-term care (LTC).
- Must be comfortable working with dementia patients.
- Travelers must be willing to float to other units as staffing needs arise.
- Complete all employment history information including bed count, EMR, facility type, etc. for submission.
- Ability to explain any employment gaps over 90 days.
Important Notes
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; reliable personal or rental vehicle required.
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April.
- Travelers are expected to adhere to their assigned hours as stated in their contracts; preplanned time off requests must be communicated in advance.
Contract Details
This position is for a 12-hour night shift, with a contract length of 42 weeks. Guaranteed hours available.
