Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women’s Center team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a 100-bed facility, situated off I-81 in Wytheville, Virginia. Our facility provides care to approximately 36,000 individuals and is proud to have earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval.

Shift Details

• Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend

Unit Information

The Women's Center includes:

• 4 LDRP Beds
• 2 Antepartum Beds
• 10 Postpartum/Post-Op/C-Section Beds

Patient ratios are maintained according to AWOHNN and state requirements. Our facility utilizes Phillips Intellispace Perinatal and Meditech Magic 5.6.7 for electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to labor and delivery patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support and educate patients and their families on care plans and post-discharge instructions.
• Willing to float to other areas if needed.

Requirements

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Experience: Several years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery preferred.
• Certifications: Active RN license required; ACLS, NRP preferred.
• Personality Fit: Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Information

We prefer candidates with charge experience to support our team and provide leadership within the unit.
