Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Details

This position offers rotating shifts that consist of:

• Day: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Night: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

The typical rotation involves 2 weeks of day shifts followed by 2 weeks of night shifts as needed to meet the operational needs of the facility. While we strive to accommodate travelers' preferred shifts, rotations may occur if necessary.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Must possess at least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty applied for prior to travel assignments.
• Must have a permanent Ohio License or a Compact State License in hand at the time of submission.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required.
• One year of recent oncology/chemotherapy administration experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate is necessary; training will be provided during orientation.
• Travelers must commit to working at least every other holiday.

Assessment & Compliance

All travelers will undergo an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, with a requirement for acceptable scores on both tests. Candidates are allowed up to two attempts to pass; failure to do so may result in cancellation of the assignment.

Additional Information

Travelers can expect strict compliance requirements as follows:

• A background check will be conducted, with no open cases accepted.
• All required licenses and certifications must be active and in good standing.
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of the start date, which must be updated annually.
• PAPRs will not be accepted as an alternative for caregivers with facial hair, except for those with an approved exemption.
• Candidates must complete BCI/FBI fingerprints within 48 hours of signing the contract.
