Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Position Overview

Join our team as a CT Technologist, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position requires weekend shifts from Friday to Sunday, 7 PM to 7:30 AM, along with on-call and callback responsibilities as needed by the unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and verify exam details before initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans by explaining procedures to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing procedures.
• Position patients properly, including assisting those with limited mobility.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting the position).
• Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association ONLY.

Preferred Qualifications

• Injection certification (must be willing to complete during orientation).
• Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment.

Contract Details

This position offers guaranteed hours with a contract spanning 117 weeks.
