Job Opportunity: X-Ray Technician

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated X-Ray Technician to join a reputable community hospital. This position involves working in a dynamic radiology unit that caters to patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. The ideal candidate must possess a strong foundation in X-Ray technology and demonstrate excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform X-Ray examinations in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Utilize various imaging equipment including Philips, Canon, Carestream, and OEC C-arms.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Document all procedures accurately within the Epic Radiant EHR system.
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday shifts as required.
• Provide cover for call shifts as necessary.

Qualifications

• Active ARRT certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an X-Ray Technician.
• Experience in a teaching facility is preferred.
• Proficient in EPIC EHR systems, with experience within the last 2 years.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Environment

This role is primarily on day shifts, with occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed to cover for staff vacations or call outs. The X-Ray unit features three main X-Ray rooms, and two additional X-Ray units at the Ortho Teaching Facility.

Additional Information

• Orientation program lasts 5 days.
• Required to wear scrubs; no specific color requirements.
• Reliable transportation is essential; public transportation is not accessible in the area.
• No block schedules permitted; flexibility is expected.
