Job Title: Physical Therapist

Shift: Day 5x8.0

Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. You will be responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for an effective return to community activities. You will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and yourself while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and set goals focused on patient progress towards discharge.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Complete medical record documentation accurately and timely, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment and supervision.
• Develop an individualized professional development plan and pursue continuing education.
• Engage in patient and professional advocacy efforts.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory agencies.
• Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Valid and current State license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy.
• Experience in Inpatient Rehab or Neuro setting is highly desired.
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
