Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Rehab

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of acute care rehab experience and be motivated to provide specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in an acute rehab hospital environment.
• Monitor vital signs and perform assessments, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory checks.
• Conduct medication reconciliation and interpret laboratory results.
• Manage dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
• Perform various procedures including phlebotomy, throat and urine specimen collection, and telephone triage.
• Support rehabilitation patients, including those recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and post-operative surgical procedures.
• Document patient care and treatment using the EPIC charting system.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary approach to patient care, collaborating with respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and more.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care rehabilitation experience.
• Experience with EPIC charting system required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to float between various units and campuses as needed.
• Pass the required EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed).

Patient Care Details:

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 39
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Special Procedures: Specialized care for stroke, aneurysm, post-op surgical care, brain, and spinal cord injuries.

Work Environment:

This is a night shift position (3x12-hour shifts), including every third weekend and holidays as needed. The position involves floating between all health campuses as required. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and aware of the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.

Compliance Requirements:

All candidates must complete full compliance by the set deadline, which includes educational verification, background checks, and passing the EKG exam.
