Job Title: Night Shift Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation RN

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Night Shift position in our Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care and the ability to manage a challenging and rewarding workload.

Shift Details

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Schedule: Every 3rd Weekend and Holidays as needed
• Float: Required among all campuses if necessary

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Health Assessment including Vital Signs, History, and Allergies
• Medication reconciliation and Telephone Triage
• Conduct and interpret laboratory tests and capillary sampling
• Perform dressing changes and set up sterile procedure trays
• Provide care and education for patients with various conditions including CVA, TBI, and spinal cord injuries
• Utilize EPIC charting for patient record management
• Manage patient safety and care according to established protocols

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Rehab experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
• Certifications: Current BLS certification required.
• Skills: Proficiency in acute inpatient rehabilitation practices, medication administration, and patient management.
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited institution; verification through a third party is required.
• Background Check: Must have a clear background check with no open cases.
• Local Radius: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius.

Compliance Requirements

Compliance requires a complete file by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date. The candidate must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance to be eligible for this position.

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approximately 39 patients
• Patient Ratio: 1:6

Additional Information

Our inpatient rehabilitation department provides specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs post-stroke, post-surgical recovery, and other neurological diagnoses.
