Contract Duration: 17 weeks (Starts 9/15, Ends 1/10/2026)

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Level II Registered Nurse to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing competent care based on established clinical standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The role assumes an expanded range of responsibilities, including charge nurse duties, preceptorship, and active participation in committees.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: Must have a minimum of two (2) years of stepdown/PCU experience.
- Licensure: Active RN License in New York is required.
- BLS: Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Telemetry Experience: Required.
- ACLS: Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Clinical Skills: Experience with high acuity stroke and neurosurgery, including but not limited to:
- Q1 neuro checks
- EVDs (External Ventricular Drains)
- Lumbar drains
- Sub-dural drains
- 3% NS and Cardene drips
- Arterial lines
- Carotid endarterectomy
- Aneurysm coil/clips
- DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator)
- VP shunts
- Seizures management

Additional Requirements
- Must be able to commit to start on 9/15/2023 for a 17-week contract ending on 1/10/2026.
