**Job Title: Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath Technologist** **Shift Details:** - Schedule: Day Shift (4x10-Hour, 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM) - On-call Requirements: 10 Vascular Call shifts; Late coverage for cardiology - Weekends: 1 weekend per month on-call **Job Description:** We are seeking a skilled Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of technical procedures involving the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic assessment, diagnosis, and therapy, working closely with radiologists and physicians. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform diagnostic, special, cardiac catheterization, and radiographic procedures, including vascular access assessments and intervention. - Prepare patients for exams and administer prescribed medications and contrast media as per physician orders. - Maintain adherence to quality control measures and ensure documentation is complete and accurate in all systems. - Minimize radiation exposure to patients and follow strict safety protocols, including the use of PPE. - Assist in developing and evaluating quality management programs for Special Procedures and Diagnostic Radiology. - Demonstrate equipment and procedure competency and assist in the training of new staff and student technologists. - Provide patients with high-quality care, demonstrating an understanding of their diverse needs across all age groups (neonatal through geriatric). **Qualifications:** - Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program approved by the Council of Education of the American Medical Association. - Registration by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) is required, or registry eligibility. - Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications. - Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Diagnostic Technologist is required. - Strong knowledge of Radiology Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath equipment and protocols. - Proficient in Epic and MS Office applications. **Skills:** - Experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab procedures. - Competency in the following: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations, IABP Placement/Removal, and Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI). - Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. **Why Join Us?** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
