**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Days)** **Shift:** 3 x 12-Hour Days (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM) **Location:** Within 50 miles of the facility **Job Description:** We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to provide quality patient care in a supportive environment while working alongside interdisciplinary teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg setting. - Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpreting dysrhythmias and managing any complications that arise. - Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as required. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services for comprehensive patient care. - Participate in discharge planning and educate patients and families on health management post-discharge. - Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed. - Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures and uphold high standards of care. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 1 year of inpatient Med/Surg nursing experience is required. - Recent Epic charting experience (within the last 6 months) is mandatory. - Prior charge nurse experience is preferred. - Strong collaboration and communication skills. - Ability to manage a patient ratio of up to 6 patients per nurse. **Patient Care Details:** - Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics - Daily Census: Approximately 37 patients - Number of Beds: 45 - Telemetry monitoring in a centralized unit. **Additional Information:** - The successful applicant must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible. - Orientation hours are set at 20 hours. - Must comply with no more than 3 requested time-off (RTO) days during the contract period; RTO is not permitted on holidays. **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
