**Job Title: Med-Surg Orthopedics Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated Med-Surg Orthopedics Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 12-hour night shift. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on orthopedics (60%) and general medical care (40%). This is a great opportunity for those looking to make a significant impact in patient outcomes within a supportive team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg Orthopedics unit. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. - Perform nursing procedures in accordance with established protocols and best practices. - Educate patients and their families regarding medications, treatments, and preventative care. - Monitor patients' progress and respond promptly to any changes in condition. - Adhere to all safety and health regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med-Surg Orthopedics or relevant specialty. - Active Virginia or Compact Nursing License at the time of submission. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Previous travel nursing experience is preferred. - Experience in a teaching hospital is a plus. **Schedule:** - 12-hour night shifts with assignments ending on Saturdays. - Must work 2 of 3 holidays; specific block scheduling cannot be accommodated. - Orientation occurs every other Monday, with weekend shifts required based on unit needs. **Important Notes:** - Candidates must be local to the area (within 60 miles) to be considered. - All requests for time-off (RTO) must be included upon submission. - The position will be subject to cancellation by the facility with a 36-hour notice due to patient census changes. **Why Join Us?** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
