**Job Title: Medical Surgical Orthopedics Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift** **Location: Virginia** **Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts** **Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Orthopedics Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team for a night shift position. This role requires a strong background in both orthopedic and general medical nursing, with responsibilities split approximately 60% in orthopedic care and 40% in general medical settings. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality patient care on a 12-hour night shift basis. - Deliver nursing care in both orthopedic and general medical areas. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed. - Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress. - Participate in orientation and training sessions as directed. - Flexibility to work 2 out of 3 holidays during the contract period. **Requirements:** - A minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant specialty nursing, specifically in Medical Surgical Orthopedics. - Current BLS certification is required. - Previous travel nursing experience is preferred. - Experience in a teaching hospital setting is highly desirable. - An active Virginia/Compact RN License is required at the time of submission. - All Requests Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the application. **Schedule:** - 12-hour night shifts, with assignments concluding on Saturdays. - Must be available for orientations every other week on Mondays. - Requires working 2 out of 3 weekends each month based on unit needs. **Additional Information:** - Please note that local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not accepted for this position. - Candidates should be aware that the facility may cancel assignments up to 36 hours in advance due to changes in patient census. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
