**Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - 12 Hour Nights** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in a medical-surgical setting during 12-hour night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and will be committed to delivering exceptional patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit. - Monitor patient progress and vital signs, ensuring any changes are promptly addressed. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and home care requirements. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities. - Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical nursing role. - Active Virginia or Compact Nursing License is required at the time of submission. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. - Previous travel nursing experience is essential. - Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records is preferred. - Ability to float to different units or locations as needed. **Important Notes:** - This position requires working nights with shifts ending on Saturdays. - Travelers may be asked to float to sister campuses as required. - Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly on Mondays. - All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application. - Candidates will encounter students and new hires and are expected to contribute positively to a culture of support. **Guaranteed Hours:** - Contract duration is for 91 weeks, with a commitment of full-time hours. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
