**Job Description: Registered Nurse - Night Shift (12 Hours)** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team for a 12-hour night shift position in a dynamic acute care setting. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, showcasing their clinical skills while providing exceptional patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Patient Care**: Provide comprehensive care for a diverse patient population, including floating to Medsurg/Telemetry as needed. - **Critical Care Support**: Work in a step-down ICU with a focus on patients requiring minimal vent support, primarily utilizing BiPAP and managing various drips such as insulin, cardizem, and levophed as required. - **Patient Ratios**: Maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios, including 2:1 in high acuity situations, with flexibility to adapt to 4:1 in lower acuity cases. - **Pediatric Competency**: Be open to caring for pediatric patients and acquiring PALS certification during the assignment. - **Independent Practice**: Function independently in managing patient needs, as the unit is staffed with a single RN and tech, with close proximity to the connected Medsurg unit. - **Collaboration**: Utilize telemedicine to consult with intensivists and coordinate care with local attending physicians. **Qualifications:** - Current and unexpired RN license. - Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA) – willingness to obtain PALS certification if not already certified. - Solid clinical experience, particularly in Medsurg or Telemetry settings. - Must disclose any background hits during the submission process. - Eligible candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius. **Shift Details:** - Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled. - Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. - Contract length: 13 weeks. **Additional Information:** Charting System used: Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR. **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
