**Job Title: Night Shift Med/Surg Telemetry RN** **Location:** [City, State] **Shift:** Nights - 12 Hour: 7 PM - 7 AM **Contract Duration:** 13 Weeks **Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Tele unit, specializing in acute medical and surgical telemetry care. With 37 beds, our team supports a diverse patient population, making this an excellent opportunity for nurses passionate about patient-centered care. **Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit. - Monitor patient vital signs and medicate as ordered. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective patient care plans. - Document patient progress and care in the EPIC electronic health record system. - Adhere to all relevant regulations and compliance standards. - Flexibility to float to other units as required by the facility's needs. - Participate in charge nurse responsibilities as needed. **Schedule:** - Flexible scheduling with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. - Weekend shifts: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend. - Commit to at least one holiday per contract. **Qualifications:** - Required: 1 year of recent Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing experience in an acute care setting. - Preferred: 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing. - An active RN license in New York State. - Current certifications: NIHSS and AHA BLS. - For non-U.S. candidates, a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the U.S. healthcare system is required. **Additional Information:** - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. - Positions may involve block booking requests, subject to availability. - Candidates must be flexible to meet facility needs.
