**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Telemetry - Day Shift** **Location:** West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care Unit **Shift:** Days - 12 Hour (7A - 7P) **Contract Duration:** 13 Weeks **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 - 48 Hours Available per Week **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg Telemetry team in a fast-paced hospital environment. The complex care unit consists of 37 beds, and our focus is on providing exceptional patient care and support to those with acute medical surgical needs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit. - Monitor patients' vital signs, medications, and overall progress. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Assist in the coordination of patient care plans, advocating for patients' needs. - Educate patients and their families about health management and post-discharge care. - Float to other units as necessary and provide support as needed. - Be willing to take on charge nurse responsibilities when required. **Requirements:** - Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing. - A total of 2 years of U.S. work experience is required for non-U.S. candidates. - Current certifications: NIH and AHA BLS. - Flexibility to work according to the needs of the facility's schedule, including working 1 holiday per contract. - Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and be willing to work weekend shifts (1 per week or 2 every other weekend). **Preferred Experience:** - 2 years of recent experience in acute Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing. **Charting System:** EPIC Join our team and make a difference in the lives of the patients you serve! --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
