**Job Title: Med Surg Oncology RN - 12-Hour Night Shift** **Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift position. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that prioritizes patient care. As a Med Surg Oncology RN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical oncology unit. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients with medical-surgical oncology needs. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. - Monitor patient’s vital signs, administer medications, and manage intravenous (IV) therapies. - Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and self-care strategies. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and regulations. - Participate in shift handoff and report, providing essential information to peers. **Requirements:** - At least 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical and/or Oncology nursing. - Active BLS certification; ACLS certification is preferred. - Previous travel nursing experience is required. - Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records is preferred. - Possession of an active VA/Compact nursing license at the time of submission. - Availability for orientation every other Monday, with potential weekend coverage of 2-3 weekends per month, based on unit needs. - Ability to work nights, with assignments ending on Saturdays. **Additional Information:** - Local RNs within 60 miles are not accepted for this position, and all requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with your application. - This role may involve floating to different units based on patient care needs, and candidates must contribute to a supportive culture, particularly towards students and new hires. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
