**Job Title: Long-Term Care Registered Nurse (RN)** **Location: Alaska** **Shift:** - Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) - Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) - Variable 3x12 Hour shifts (exact schedule to be determined closer to the start date based on current staffing needs) **Job Description:** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Long-Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Alaska. The ideal candidate will hold an active Alaska RN license and possess at least one year of relevant nursing experience. As an RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to adults and geriatric patients in a Long-Term Care setting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver nursing care in accordance with established standards of practice. - Monitor and assess patients’ health status, including vital signs and medical history. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety. - Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (Epic). - Participate in patient education and advocate for patients and their families. - Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures. **Qualifications:** - Current Alaska RN license (in hand required). - Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (first-time travelers are encouraged to apply). - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Experience with Epic charting system preferred. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. **Facility Information:** This facility is an Acute Care Medical Center and Long-Term Care Facility with a total of 46 staffed beds dedicated to acute care and 22 beds for long-term care. The facility operates under Level IV Trauma and is recognized as a Critical Access Hospital. **Additional Information:** - Weekend and holiday shifts are required (traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year). - A minimum of 60 hours per 2 weeks is guaranteed, although the traveler may be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks. - Housing and a rental vehicle will be provided for the duration of the assignment. - Pets are not allowed, and housing units are generally one-bedroom apartments.
