Job Description
**Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Unit Details:** 21 Bed Unit, ~225 births/month **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, with the ability to circulate for C-sections and provide excellent patient care in various scenarios. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery. - Circulate C-sections and participate in the recovery process for patients post-delivery. - Deliver care in a Women’s Health Unit with a variable patient ratio based on acuity. - Float to high-risk Antepartum/Postpartum units and assist with continuous or intermittent fetal monitoring as needed. - Perform OB assessments and fetal monitoring when floated to higher acuity care areas. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC and CPN charting systems. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. **Patient Care Requirements:** - Ratio of 1:1-3 in Labor & Delivery based on phase of labor and acuity. - Ratio of 1:3-6 in the Women’s Health Unit, dependent on patient needs. **Required Qualifications:** - Active NJ or Compact nursing license. - 2+ years of relevant nursing experience in Labor and Delivery. - AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM certification required (may be acquired prior to start date if proof of registration is provided). - Additional certifications: ACLS, BLS, FHM*, NRP, and Stroke CEUs. **Schedule Expectations:** - Commitment to a minimum of 4 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per month. - Ability to float within skillset as required by unit demands. **Preferred Skills:** - Previous charge experience in similar medical settings. - Trauma Level I or II experience is a plus. - Strong clinical skills in fetal heart monitoring and labor support. **About Us:** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
