**Job Title: Birthing Center Nurse** **Job Description:** Join our dedicated team at a leading Birthing Center, where we provide exceptional care to women and children across Central New York. With an average of 1,000 deliveries annually, we pride ourselves on delivering safe, compassionate, and comprehensive care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers and newborns throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods. - Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including certified nurse midwives, board-certified obstetricians, lactation consultants, and anesthesia staff. - Ensure a positive patient experience by offering emotional support, education, and guidance to families during the birthing process. - Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain competencies in maternal and child health care. - Assist in the onboarding of new nursing staff, offering support, mentorship, and knowledge of best practices in maternal care. - Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the Birthing Center. **Qualifications:** - Current nursing license with verification through Nursys and any required certifications. - Previous experience in a birthing center, labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing is preferred. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient care. - Ability to work as part of a team while exhibiting strong leadership skills. **Training and Development:** Training at the Birthing Center is rigorous and customizable to fit individual learning needs, typically lasting six months.
