**Job Title:** CVOR Surgical Technologist **Location:** [Location] **Shift:** Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) **Job Description:** We are seeking a qualified and experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of recent CVOR experience, including open heart and vascular procedures. This is a day shift position requiring the capability to scrub during surgeries. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist surgical teams in preparing for open heart and vascular procedures by maintaining sterile environments and ensuring all surgical instruments are accounted for. - Effectively communicate with surgical staff to ensure smooth workflow during procedures. - Recognize ECG rhythms and demonstrate competence in safe medication administration. - Participate in training modules and assessments, achieving acceptable scores as required. - Work every other holiday as part of the role. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 18 months of permanent CVOR experience prior to travel. - Must possess a valid Ohio nursing license; compact licenses accepted for assignments starting on or after January 1, 2023. - One reference from a supervisor, manager, or director in the specialty applying for required for submission. - Active certifications with no pending issues are required. - Must be able to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation. - Previous supervisory experience is preferred. **Additional Requirements:** - Must be nicotine-free for travelers outside of Nursing and CST roles. A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, is required. - Background checks will be conducted; open cases are not accepted. - Compliance with facility-specific policies and procedures is mandatory.
