**Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse** **Shift:** 07:00-19:00 **Location:** Maternity Care Center **Address:** 1900 Electric Road, Salem, Virginia 24153 **Floor:** 2 West **Building:** Main **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 9 Labor/Delivery Rooms; 8 Post-Partum/Gynecology Rooms; 2 Operating Room Suites; 23 Well-Born Nursery - **Staffing Level:** 50+ healthcare professionals - **Day Shift Staff:** Director, Manager, Couplet Nurses, Birth Response Nurse, L&D Nurses, Scrub Tech - **Night Shift Staff:** Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse, Birth Response, Couplet Nurses, L&D Nurses, Scrub Tech **Patient Ratios:** - Couplets: 3 couplets per nurse - Labor & Delivery: 1:1 for active labor with Pitocin/epidural **Equipment Used:** - Corometrics - EMR: Centricity Perinatal & Meditech **Job Requirements:** - **Must Have:** - OB experience - Current BLS, ACLS, NRP & AWHONN certifications - **Preferred:** - Experience as a Cesarean Section Circulator, 1st Assistant, or Scrub **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Labor & Delivery - Cesarean Sections - Post-Partum and Newborn Care - OBED Triage - Inductions - Work with Midwives **Ideal Candidate:** - Energetic and self-directed individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. **Floating Area:** - Within the unit only; no floating to other units in the facility. **Dress Code:** - Scrubs provided by the facility. **Weekend and On-Call Requirements:** - 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule: Days are Saturday/Sunday; Nights are Friday/Saturday. - No call requirement for travel staff, though opportunities for extra shifts may arise. **Number of Positions Available:** 1-2 **Guaranteed Hours:** Contract Weeks: 91 --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
