**Job Title: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN)** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) to join our healthcare team. This is a crucial role within a 33-bed Progressive Care Unit that includes a 6-bed Step Down ICU and 33 telemetry beds. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients while demonstrating proficiency in Epic EMR. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver primary nursing care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit. - Conduct telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading to assess patients' cardiac health. - Perform fingerstick blood sugar testing and other essential patient assessments. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes. - Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and patient management. - Administer medications using Pyxis and monitor patients with BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 1 year of acute care hospital nursing experience within the last 12 months. - Progressive Care and telemetry experience is preferred. - Current certifications in ACLS and PALS are preferred; NIHSS certification is also beneficial. - Strong understanding and experience with Epic EMR required. - Ability to provide documentation demonstrating immunity as per facility requirements. **Schedule:** - Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. - No guarantee of hours; the position does not require on-call duties. **Dress Code:** - Scrubs are required while on duty. **Important Notes:** - No requests for time off (RTO) will be granted during this assignment. - Start dates are not flexible. - Clearance documentation must be completed two weeks before the assignment start date; incomplete documents will result in cancellation.
