**Job Title: Experienced RN - Med/Surg (Day Shift)** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg department for a full-time 13-week contract. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to both adult and pediatric patients in a new, modern facility located in rural Northeast Oregon. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with a team of two or three nurses and a full-time Hospitalist physician to deliver comprehensive patient care. - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a diverse patient population. - Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills. - Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols while ensuring the well-being of patients. - Provide patient education and engage families in the care process. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license and three or more years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg setting. - Certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Flexibility to work three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend. **Contract Details:** - Full-time position (36 guaranteed hours per week). - 13-week commitment, with the possibility of extensions based on performance and department needs.
