Job Description
**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Antepartum (Contract)** **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Contract Duration:** 13 Weeks **Call Requirements:** None **Weekend Rotation:** Required **Unit Overview:** Join a dynamic Antepartum unit with 24 beds, known for its collaborative environment and exceptional patient care. Our dedicated staff consists of 26 professionals, including 1 Charge Nurse, 4 Registered Nurses, and a support clerk during the day. We provide comprehensive antenatal care with a focus on teamwork and efficient communication. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide direct nursing care to antepartum patients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. - Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. - Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies, including insulin and anticoagulants. - Perform non-stress tests and manage hyperemesis gravidarum as necessary. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to establish and implement individualized care plans. - Maintain accurate patient records using EMR Meditech and CPN systems. - Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages teamwork and effective communication. **Qualifications:** - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required. - Previous experience in Labor and Delivery or Antepartum care preferred, but not mandatory. - Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in high-acuity situations. - Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care. **Dress Code:** Scrubs must be navy blue. **Patient Ratios:** Typically 3:1 and 4:1, with possible 2:1 ratios depending on patient acuity. **Equipment Used:** Familiarity with EMR Meditech and CPN is beneficial. **Why Choose This Role?** - Join an experienced team dedicated to high standards of patient care. - Enjoy flexible scheduling options to enhance work-life balance. - Work in a supportive environment equipped with the latest technology. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
