**Job Title: Progressive Critical Care Unit Nurse** **Shift: 7 PM – 7:30 AM** **Location: [Specify Location]** **Job Description:** We are seeking a highly skilled Progressive Critical Care Unit Nurse with Epic experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for medically delicate and surgically complex patients, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care for high-acuity medical and surgical patients in a progressive critical care setting. - Administer advanced hemodynamic interventions, including the use of vasopressors and other titration protocols. - Manage antihypertensive, sedative, and naloxone (Narcan) drips, as well as thrombo-embolic treatments per established guidelines. - Competently utilize high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPap/Cpap, and oxygenation strategies to support respiratory needs. - Monitor and respond to the changing conditions of patients, ensuring infection prevention protocols are adhered to at all times. - Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives. **Qualifications:** - Current nursing license (RN) and valid ACLS certification required. - Minimum of [Specify Years] years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU), preferably in a community hospital setting. - Proficient in the management of complex medical-surgical conditions and advanced patient monitoring techniques. - Ability to handle a patient load of 3 high-acuity patients. **Employment Details:** - Weekend block schedule may be considered. - Competency testing required within 24 hours of application submission. **Physical Requirements:** - Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
