**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Night Shift** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position that combines both caregiving and care management responsibilities. In this role, you will be accountable for patient care while also overseeing and coordinating the activities of other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. This position requires collaboration with patients, physicians, and clinicians, emphasizing an understanding of the organizational mission and values. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive assessments and data collection focusing on the physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive status of patients. - Implement patient care effectively by adhering to established procedures and care plans. - Identify learning needs of patients and their families, and provide appropriate education in accordance with policy. - Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records and in compliance with regulatory standards. - Exhibit awareness and sensitivity to the rights of patients and their families, honoring diversity and non-discrimination. - Delegate patient care tasks appropriately and supervise team members to ensure quality care delivery. - Organize and prioritize patient care using sound critical thinking and decision-making skills. - May assume Charge Nurse duties, managing patient assignments, coverage, admissions, discharges, and staff coordination. - Pursue ongoing professional development through workshops and affiliations relevant to nursing practice. - Adhere to safety protocols and organizational policies, including infection control and emergency procedures. - Maintain professionalism in all interactions and ensure personal appearance aligns with organizational standards. **Qualifications:** - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. - Current RN Licensure in the relevant state. - Previous experience in acute care nursing is preferred, with a minimum of one year for specialty departments. - Proficient in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. **Competencies:** - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage crises effectively. - Experience in caring for patients across various age groups. - Competency in all necessary medical equipment as outlined by departmental requirements. **Physical Requirements:** - Frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity required. - Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, with assistance as needed. - Strong emotional stability to cope with the demands of a fast-paced healthcare environment. - Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. **Additional Requirements for Mother Baby Unit:** - Advanced NRP certification required for RNs in the Mother Baby Unit prior to the end of orientation. - Completion of the STABLE course within six months of orientation. - AWHONN’s Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course to be obtained within three months of Labor & Delivery training. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
