Job Description
**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Caregiver and Care Manager** **Shift:** Days **Position Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as both a caregiver and care manager. In this dual role, the RN will take responsibility for a group of patients, applying the Nursing Process to implement care plans effectively. As a care manager, the RN will also guide and oversee the work of other caregivers, ensuring a collaborative approach to delivering the highest standard of patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive assessments and data collection focused on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status. - Implement patient care plans consistently while adhering to established procedures and protocols. - Identify learning needs of patients and their significant others, providing education and support. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in both electronic and paper medical records, complying with policies and regulations. - Display sensitivity to patient rights and ensure care is provided without discrimination. - Effectively delegate tasks to nursing staff and non-nursing personnel, supervising and coordinating patient care activities. - Prioritize and organize tasks efficiently, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills. - Serve as a Charge Nurse when necessary, overseeing patient assignments and staff coordination. - Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with healthcare trends and practices. - Adhere to safety regulations and protocols, including infection control and emergency procedures. - Uphold the organization's values through courteous interactions with team members and patients. **Qualifications:** - Graduate from an accredited nursing program. - Current RN Licensure in the state of practice. - Preferred experience in acute care nursing with a minimum of one year of practice in specialty areas. - Proficient in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire; additional certifications as required by specialty area. **Competencies:** - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. - Commitment to ethical and legal compliance in nursing practice. - Capacity to manage crises and work under pressure effectively. - Ability to provide care across a diverse patient population. **Physical Requirements:** - Frequent standing, walking, and lifting; capacity to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. - Ability to perform CPR and handle equipment, ensuring patient safety. - Strong communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families. **Additional Requirements for Mother Baby Unit:** - Current certifications in Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation, STABLE course completion, Fetal Monitoring, and other specialty training as specified. **Benefits:** At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
