**Job Description: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)** **Shift:** 1pm-1am or 3pm-3am **Location:** Corpus Christi, TX **Unit:** Bay Area Emergency Department **Number of Beds:** 16 **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality acute care in a fast-paced environment. You will work alongside a skilled team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care, adhering to established protocols for trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform triage, detailed assessments, and reassessments of patients. - Administer moderate sedation, EKGs, IVs, and lab draws. - Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team of RNs, nurse techs, paramedics, and unit secretaries. - Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech EMR and bedside computers. - Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to established care protocols. **Typical Staffing Structure:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Triage Nurse, 4 Core RNs - Mid-Shift: 2-4 RNs, 2 Nurse Techs, and 2 Paramedics - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Triage Nurse, 4 RNs at 7pm **Patient Ratios:** - Acute Care: 1:4 - Vertical Care: 1:6 **Qualifications:** - **Required Certifications:** BLS, ALS/ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, CPI - **Experience:** Candidates must have experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis protocols. - **Preferred Experience:** Trauma Level II experience; familiarity with Tenecteplace administration for stroke and STEMI patients. **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - Non-judgmental and compassionate, with a sense of urgency. - A strong team player, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment. **Dress Code:** - Royal Blue Scrubs (No hoodies allowed) **Floating Areas:** - May include local ERs and FSEDs. **Working Conditions:** - Weekend shifts required, on-call duties may apply. **Contract Information:** - Number of Positions Available: 1-2 - Guaranteed Hours: Yes - Contract Duration: 91 Weeks --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
