**Job Title: Registered Nurse - 2 West Neuroscience Unit (7P-7A Shift)** **Location:** Conroe, TX **Unit Type:** Neuroscience (2 West) **Floor:** 2nd Floor **Number of Beds:** 24 **Number of Staff:** 28 **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our 2 West Neuroscience Unit. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring safety and comfort, and working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct patient assessments, including medication administration and vital sign monitoring. - Provide care for patients post heart catheterization and post-surgical procedures related to brain and spine. - Administer blood transfusions and manage IV medications as per protocols. - Implement pain management strategies tailored to individual patient needs. - Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes. - Maintain accurate documentation in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Meditech). **Patient Ratios:** - 1:5 to 1:6 Nurse-to-Patient Ratio **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Blood draws - Post-operative recovery monitoring - Central line care and management - Wound care and dressing changes **Required Skills and Qualifications:** - Current Registered Nurse license. - BLS and ACLS certifications. - Experience with patient assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, and EKG monitoring. - Knowledge and experience with various medical equipment including Baxter IV Pumps, PCA Pumps, and Hill-Rom beds. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in patient experience champion roles. - Proficiency in wound care and dressing changes. **Work Schedule:** - Night shift: 7 PM - 7 AM - Rotation: Every other weekend required. **Dress Code:** - Royal Blue scrubs. **Additional Information:** - Floating opportunities to Med/Surg and CVT units may be required. **About Us:** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
