**Job Description: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) RN** **Shift:** Night (3x12-Hour: 19:00 - 07:00) **Start Date:** 10/7/2025 **Location:** New York **Specialty:** Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) **License:** valid NY nursing license required **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) team. The IMCU is a critical care step-down unit that provides exceptional, evidence-based care to adult patients requiring more specialized medical attention than what is available on a general medical-surgical floor. The successful candidate will have previous charge experience, strong telemetry skills, and be proficient in the Epic charting system. **Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population, monitoring vital signs and telemetry. - Administer medications and IV infusions as directed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. - Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. - Provide continuous support to patients requiring airway management, acute BIPAP management, and care for patients with arterial and central lines. - Demonstrate expertise in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing various cardiac conditions. - Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence in patient care. **Qualifications:** - Valid NY nursing license in hand is mandatory. - Minimum of 1 year of charge nurse experience. - Proficiency in telemetry and experience with clinical procedures in an IMCU or similar setting. - Experience with Epic charting system is required. - Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. **Unit Details:** - Bed Capacity: 26 beds - Daily Patient Census: Approximately 17 patients - Weekend Shift Requirement: Every weekend shift expected - Patient Ratios: 3:1 on days, 4:1 on nights, and 3:1 on weekends **Additional Information:** - Candidates will be required to float to other units, including ICU or medical-surgical units. - Pre-approved time off is available, and the orientation process includes 24 hours of training. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
