**Job Description: Night Nurse - High-Risk Maternity Care** **Position Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Nurse to join our fast-paced and high-acuity maternity care unit. As a pivotal member of our healthcare team, you will provide care focused on obstetrical patients and high-risk antepartum and postpartum care. This role involves working the Night 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with a patient ratio of 2:1. You will support an average of 20 births over a 24-hour period, ensuring exceptional care is maintained for mothers and newborns. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide care for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and older, focusing on intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum management. - Conduct sterile vaginal exams and provide competent immediate newborn care. - Participate in outpatient procedures, including antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration. - Handle both scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births and rescue cervical cerclage procedures. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services to enhance patient care. **Required Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 3 years preferred in a high-volume, similar setting. - First-time travelers are accepted, provided they possess experience in a large hospital environment. - Must be proficient in circulating, particularly for C-sections and labor and delivery processes. - Required certifications include BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced, and NRP. - Familiarity with charting systems such as EPIC and the ability to float between units as necessary. **Additional Information:** - Weekend requirements include a minimum of 6 shifts over a 6-week schedule, with every other weekend expected. - The unit operates at a high pace and may not realistically accommodate 48-hour contracts due to workload. - 24-hour orientation provided to ensure familiarity with unit protocols and procedures. **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
