**Job Title: Cytology Technician – Day Shift** **Job Description:** Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Cytology Technician! This is a day shift position (5x8 hours, 07:30 - 16:00) where you will have a pivotal role in our reference lab, screening Pap and non-gyn cases. Additionally, you will assist with various procedures at the main hospital, including Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS). Enjoy a flexible start time with no weekends or holidays involved. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform accurate and efficient microscopy and thin prep imaging to screen Pap and non-gyn cytology samples. - Assist in on-site procedures such as FNA and EBUS, ensuring patient safety and comfort. - Maintain quality control and assurance for cytologic specimens, contributing to a high standard of laboratory practice. - Engage in specimen labeling and identification, ensuring precise handling and tracking of samples. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide preliminary diagnoses and exceptional patient care. **Qualifications:** - Required Certification: ASCP Cytotechnologist (ASCP-CT) - Minimum of two years of relevant experience in cytology. - Strong skills in microscopy and thin prep imaging are essential. - Experience with ascitic fluid, bronchial and spinal collection, as well as staining processes is preferred. **Facility Information:** - Work with a diverse range of patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. - Benefit from interdisciplinary support and a vibrant team atmosphere. - Daily census and specific diagnoses may vary, contributing to a dynamic working experience. **Additional Information:** - No on-call or weekend coverage required. - Two orientation hours will be provided.
