**Job Description: Emergency Department Nurse** **Shift:** 7 PM - 7 AM **Location:** Cypress, TX **Unit Type:** Emergency Department **Number of Beds:** 19 **Total Staff:** 26 FTEs (with a core need of 33) **Position Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency care and be committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered service in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide expert nursing care to patients within the Emergency Department. - Ensure efficient triage and assessment of patients in critical care and stable conditions. - Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures including tPA administration, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Meditech EMR. - Exhibit strong critical-thinking skills in high-pressure situations. **Qualifications:** - **Required:** - A minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience. - Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS. - **Preferred:** - Additional experience in specialty areas of emergency care. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills conducive to a positive team culture. **Patient Ratios:** - Nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1, ensuring adequate attention and care for each patient. **Work Environment:** - Rotate weekends with no on-call requirements. **Dress Code:** - Scrubs in royal blue. **Team Fit:** We are looking for a positive culture fit who is adaptable and thrives in a collaborative environment. **General Comments:** - Position creation due to vacancy; guaranteed hours for contract duration of 91 weeks. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
